Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties' high purity magnesium oxide and magnesium hydroxide products are used in rubber and plastic applications.

Products

Elastomag^® magnesium oxide powders are manufactured to precise specifications in size, surface area, porosity and dispersion properties. Successful rubber and plastics compounding requires accurate timing of reactivity. Elastomag^® magnesium oxide products eliminate unnecessary cycle changes, reduce waste, and help maintain control over product consistency. Consistent compounding times ensures accurate reproducibility with each production run.

MagChem^® 200 AD is used as a thickener in sheet molding and bulk molding compounds, a curing agent in neoprene/phenolic adhesives, and as an acid scavenger in PVC applications.

Versamag^® is a specialty grade magnesium hydroxide powder used in specialty applications. Versamag^® 30 is a custom magnesium hydroxide blend which is used as a thickening agent in sheet molding compounds.
